Berwick Upon Tweed's The Maltings is a theatre which presents a diverse mix of live events, workshops and digital cinema screenings every year, serving as a key cultural hub for North Northumberland and the eastern Scottish Borders.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are embarking on a Royal Train Tour, which will showcase arts and live performance venues benefitting from the Government’s unprecedented £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.
As part of their tour, the royals enjoyed a performance by the Earl Grey Saxes, in conjunction with The Maltings, which has received a £230,000 share of the fund.
This Culture Recovery Fund will help The Maltings to trial new live and digital approaches, and put on shows in the future.
